MERAKI, what does that mean? In essence it means to do something with soul, creativity or love, and to put something of yourself into your work. So for us at MERAKI, we have one thing that joins us all, being human, finding purpose and giving meaning to what we do; and not only looking to build something that will solve a problem and build capital.
We focus on facets of society, sustainability and community to explore how people could live more fulfilled and meaningful lives. As we build a like-minded but diverse community, we strive to also improve and find alternatives to the usual structure and workings of organisations. We want to build a functioning community in parallel with nature, sustainability and the future. We look to view our project as a seed to be nurtured equally by us all, and who knows what will come from it.
Our goals are to explore the vast world of people we have access to, be an active part of our reachable community, share experiences through our Podcast and Medium platforms and experiment with organisational structures and operations to improve our motivations and efforts in life.
